Parallel to the Køge Bugt highway, Banedanmark is establishing a high-speed railway, that stretches from Copenhagen to Ringsted. DAV NORDIC has signed a contract with Züblin A/S on a series of products for the project, TP40.
Environmental consideration is a high priority
For environmental reasons, there has been a demand to lessen the truck traffic and replace it with railway traffic. For that reason, a high-speed railway is being constructed, which will be ready in 2016.
The railroad is expected to run five freight trains an hour. This will be a great improvement for the environment, which is why the project is of such high priority.
Züblin A/S are highly satisfied with DAV NORDIC
The Project Director, Christian Spang-Thomsen, from Züblin, explains the reason for choosing DAV NORDIC for the project: “DAV NORDIC has a good reputation and we know them from several other projects. They deliver good work, are trustworthy, and they have competitive prices. On top of that, they could deliver all parts for the supply, so we did not need to sign with several suppliers.”
