DAV NORDIC is providing a concrete crash barrier for a new road, that connects the Helsingør Highway to the Copenhagen harbour.
As the main contractor, Züblin has chosen DAV NORDIC to provide the concrete crash barrier for the new road of the System Spengler type that connects the Helsingør Highway to the Copenhagen harbour. DAV NORDIC has a lot of experience with the System Spengler and produces them in their own factory in Silkeborg.
The stretch is expected to have very heavy traffic and high traffic intensity, so there was a need for a solution that could handle this. DAV NORDIC has in collaboration with the entrepreneur, Copenhagen Municipality, and the advisor found a solution using System Spengler. The solution creates the necessary security.
Special components for the task
The solution consists of a 1.500 m System Spengler concrete crash barrier, which provides coverage and special components in regard to the transitions to tunnel walls and passage openings. The concrete barriers are classified H2/W5, ASI B. The casting is done during the fall 2014 and assembly will be ongoing until commissioning in the summer of 2015.
