DAV NORDIC Ltd delivers bridge guard to Høje-Taastrup municipality’s new bridge. The bridge is a 42 m long cable-stayed bridge with a 28 m high bridge pylon. It will connect Hedehusene with the new district, Nærheden. The bridge is built over Denmark’s busiest railway line.

It has been an exciting project. We are not used to the architects being so much into the architectural, so it has taken extra time but it has also made the project exciting. We know DAV NORDIC from many previous projects, and there has been a good collaboration. They have shown great flexibility. The desire for a Swedish crash barrier has presented a bit of extra challenge in terms of time, just as we ourselves have been challenged in terms of timing, but we have reached our goal with a great result, where the crash barrier also plays a significant role in the architectural expression Mads Faudel, Jorton Ltd

The delivery from DAV NORDIC includes 125 m of pipe railings, 160 m of bridge guard and approx. 200 m crash barrier. The bridge was spectacularly lifted into place in two parts on the night between the 7th and 8th of September, and DAV NORDIC assembled the bridge guard on the two bridge halves prior to this. Since then, work on the bridge has been ongoing and on March 29th, 2020, it will be inaugurated.
