The collaboration between OK a.m.b.a. and DAV NORDIC on covers for charging parks has continued at a strong pace since the first ones were established back in 2024. Now the calendar says 2026, and in the meantime four new canopies have been delivered across Denmark, all contributing to strengthening and expanding the country’s infrastructure for electric vehicle drivers.

DAV NORDIC and OK a.m.b.a. have now delivered covers in Herlev, Vejle South, Kliplev and Langeskov, with another one on the way in Viby. The new charging parks have capacity for 12 cars to charge simultaneously and are designed to handle both daily traffic and the heavy peak periods resulting from the rapidly growing popularity of electric vehicles. The charging parks are strategically located to ensure easy access for drivers and close to facilities where they can combine charging time with a break for food and refreshments.

A partnership that only grows stronger

A lot has happened since the first canopies were delivered in 2024. The partnership between OK a.m.b.a. and DAV NORDIC is today both closer and more well-coordinated. Through development, production and installation, the collaboration has evolved into an efficient and mutually value-creating partnership where both parties contribute their expertise.

The project has involved several partners, each contributing with their specialised knowledge. DAV NORDIC has delivered reinforcement and anchor-bolt groups for the foundations and provided the steel columns and roof structure for the canopies, including downpipes, soffit cladding, cable ducts, fascia cladding and fall-protection wire on the roof.

Nodo Arkitekter designed the structures, while NIRAS carried out the structural calculations for the covers.

Key Account Manager at DAV NORDIC, Casper Madsen comments on the collaboration

“The cooperation with OK is characterised by responsibility, clarity and a shared direction from the start. Expectations are clear and there is room for professional dialogue, allowing us to develop solutions that work both technically and in operation. This creates a partnership where we not only deliver but succeed together – project by project”

More projects ahead

The collaboration will continue in the coming years, where OK a.m.b.a. and DAV NORDIC are already planning new canopies for future charging parks across the country thereby contributing further to the development of tomorrow’s charging infrastructure.

OK has more than 4,800 publicly accessible charging points for electric vehicles across Denmark.
