In 2018, Rønne Harbor was expanded by 150,000 m², and with the latest expansion of 100,000 m², the harbor now spans 250,000 m². In the years following 2018, the harbor will be further expanded by another 100,000 m².

3-Ton poles and 50-ton foundations

As a subcontractor to Dansk Sportsbelysning, DAV NORDIC has delivered four 35-meter-high floodlight poles. In 2018, Danintra, which is now part of DAV NORDIC, supplied 13 poles as the first stage of the project.

The poles are so large that they are delivered in four parts and assembled directly on-site with the help of a crane. Each of the four poles is mounted on a 2-meter-tall, 50-ton foundation above ground. This allows them to be moved if the area is later repurposed. Each pole is equipped with 2-7 Signify LED floodlights. The poles each weigh no less than 3,000 kg, making it a significant task for Dansk Sportsbelysning, which handled the installation of both the poles and floodlights, as well as the erection of the poles.
