Largest pole delivery to date

DAV NORDIC is the market leader in poles in Denmark, and with the order of over 1,000 signal poles, this is the largest single order for this type of pole to date, as of 2023. The massive delivery will take place over a two-year period, requiring DAV NORDIC to establish a large stock at its Bjæverskov facility. All the poles are passive safety poles, contributing to improved traffic safety.

The signal poles are of the type ALU Round. The pole is architecturally designed and developed based on years of research and product development in traffic safety. Made of aluminum, the pole is produced in a CO2-neutral process using recycled aluminum.

Road lighting poles for 11 municipalities

The delivery also includes 200 road lighting poles, all passive safety poles made of aluminum or steel. Among these, 100 of the selected poles are DAV NORDIC’s popular MILEWIDE Ø170, a design pole created by the award-winning designer Knud Holscher, featuring the highest class of passive safety.

Specially colored guardrails

DAV NORDIC is also supplying 6 km of guardrails for the light rail project. The delivery includes both the replacement of existing guardrails and the installation of new ones. For approximately 100 meters around the six stations included in the delivery, the guardrails will be powder-coated in an earth tone. This color allows the guardrails to blend seamlessly into the urban landscape. This is the first time DAV NORDIC is supplying powder-coated guardrails, and the coating covers everything from the steel to the screws and fixtures in the guardrail system.

Capital Region light rail

The Capital Region Light Rail, a collaboration between the Capital Region and 11 municipalities, spans 28 km between Lyngby and Ishøj and will feature 29 stations. In 2023, the light rail is one of the key measures to promote mobility and development in the Greater Copenhagen area. The regional train traffic will be interconnected across a new, finer-grained structure, creating a cohesive public transport system in the capital region. By 2025, the first journey between Lyngby and Ishøj will be possible. The light rail will make it easier for students to reach DTU in Lyngby and the major vocational schools in Glostrup, Albertslund, and Ishøj, while also enabling businesses and workplaces to retain and attract new employees thanks to improved mobility.
