DAV NORDIC delivers steel balconies for homes at Randers Barracks

DAV NORDIC Ltd has delivered its second large balcony delivery within housing. This time it is 72 balconies, 91 French balconies and 24 interior barriers for Randers Barracks, which is undergoing an extensive transformation from the barracks to a residential and commercial area.

Randers Barracks was built in 1940 and in 1998 was transferred to the state's real estate company, Freja Ejendomme. The large area of 178.749 m2 has approx. 30 larger and smaller buildings, and a master plan for the area was prepared in collaboration with Randers Municipality. In 2005, Anne and Henrik Sinnbeck bought the barracks, but due to the financial crisis, the plans for rebuilding were not realised at that time. Now a large-scale project under the name "By i byen" is under development, and the area is transformed into a city in the city with housing, businesses, restaurants, etc.

Good cooperation and professional assembly

As a subcontractor to Raunstrup, DAV NORDIC has delivered 72 steel balconies and 91 French steel balconies to 72 architect-designed apartments. 24 guards have also been provided for stairwells. Construction manager, Mikki Sandberg Andersen from Raunstrup says: “We have had a really good collaboration with DAV NORDIC. The challenges we have faced in the project, we have solved together, and there has been a good collaboration between them and our people on the site. We have been particularly pleased with the assembly. ”

The apartments must be ready for occupancy in May 2020.
